- Sausages - 4
- Onion - 2
- Broccoli: 1 cup
- Garlic - 3 flakes
- Chilli flakes - 1/4 tsp
- Oil- as required for frying.
- salt - to taste
- 5 spice powder or Garam masala - optional - 1/4 tsp
- honey - a drizzle
Fry the sausages on a shallow pan and skin them if you desire. Chop into 1 inch pieces.
Slice the onions.
Cut the broccoli into florets .. use fresh or frozen. In either case, it would help to microwave/ steam for about 2-3 minutes, to facilitate speedy cooking.
Cut garlic flakes into thin slices.
Heat oil in a wok. Add the onion, fry for 2-3 minutes.
Add the sliced garlic and fry till brown. Do not let burn. Burnt garlic is bitter.
Add the steamed/ microwaved broccoli florets. Add salt and keep frying for about 5 minutes , till the broccoli has absorbed the salt.
Add the garam masala or 5 spice powder to perk up the dish.
Add a drizzle of honey to balance the taste and lend the shine.
Serve hot with steaming rice.
