Cooking asparagus is so very easy. It makes the perfect accompaniment for salads or meat or an easy starter for posh meals.
I sometime cook Asparagus on my indoor mini grill or then on the BBQ- a good addition to the BBQ party menu, and doesn’t take much long to cook at all.
I love cooking asparagus with lemon, they are like a match made in heaven. The freshness of the asparagus and the lemon really bring the meal alive.
- Asparagus stalks- 10
- Lemon - 1
- Olive oil- 1 tbsp
- Salt- to taste
- Pepper- to taste
Preheat the grill . I used the indoor Judge grill but you could use an BBQ as well.
Oil the grill plates.
Place asparagus in a large plate and drizzle some olive oil over it. Now add in the juice of half a lemon ensuring that you cover all the stalks.
Add salt and pepper as required. Remember with salt - always- less is more!
Place on the grill and cook till done. Should take around 4-5 minutes. For the Judge grill, place the asparagus and close the lid. Open in 5 minutes to have perfectly grilled asparagus.
