Last year, when my in-laws were over, My Mum-in-Law had planned a wonderful meal for my husband’s birthday. And the star of the meal were these irresistible prawns. Just couldn’t have enough of them.
Easy to make and quick, this recipe is a keeper in your party food collection.
Ingredients
Prawns, large-10-12
Garlic, grated- 1 tbsp
Pepper- 1/4 tsp
Light soya sauce- 1 tsp
Chilli sauce( optional)- 1/4 tsp
Method
Devein the prawn and marinate in the ingredients for marinade for 10-20 minutes.
Beat the eggs. One by one, dip each prawn in the beaten eggs.
Roll straight away in the flour, ensuring a uniform coating.
It is handy if you use one hand for the egg and the other for the flour, or you will end up making a terrible mess( the spring of wisdom bursts from mistakes you see)
Heat the oil in a small wok. When really hot, drop in the prawns one by one and fry till crispy.
Serve hot with sweet chilli sauce as a starter or sides.
Always a hit at parties!
I love chinese cuisine too..especially desi:0
