Noodles with Peanuts and Prawns Recipe | How to make Noodles with Prawns and Peanuts

On those days when you realise that its already past lunch or dinner time and you have nothing cooked in your fridge, absolutely else stacked up in the freezer, its time to rustle up some quick meals .. that will satisfy you and your tastebuds alike.  I think thin noodles work best rather than the usual thick egg noodles. I have used Sharwood Fine Egg Noodles for this recipe. A  sure-shot quick and easy way to satisfy that hunger in your belly.


  • Prawns- 1 cup
  • Peanuts- 1/3 cup
  • Oyster sauce- 1 tsp
  • Chilli sauce - 1 tsp
  • Pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • Soy sauce - 1 tsp
  • Salt - 1/4 tsp
  • Red pepper - 1/2 sliced
  • Carrots - 2
  • Noodles - 1 bunch of the thin egg noodles
  • Oil - 2 tbsp
  • Ginger- 1 tsp
  • Garlic- 1 tsp


Step 1

Boil the noodles as described on your pack.

Step 2

Chop the onion and red pepper and grate the carrots, ginger and garlic.

Step 3

Heat oil in a wok. When hot , add the onions , ginger and garlic one after the other.

Step 4

Stir fry for 1 minute. Add the prawns and fry for 2 minutes . I used precooked prawns, but feel free to use raw ones. I think small prawns work best in this recipe.

Step 5

Chop the peanuts and toss them in the wok. Add the grated carrots and pepper. Stir fry for 1-2 minutes. Add the sauces and drop in the noodles. Mix well.

Step 6

Add the red peppers.

Step 7

Mix well and serve.

Serve hot. Its red, its hot .. its delicious.. What more could you possibly want!
