Today’s trip to Costco ended up with me having some Tuna in tow.

So I decided to make it for dinner. Fish really makes for an easy  dinner, and tuna being massive, is always sold in very convenient steaks. That makes life even easier.

I decided to try and cook the Tuna in a very unconventional way and try some Moroccan spices to marinate the fish.

It was lovely.

Ingredients

Tuna- 3 steaks

For the spice mix

Cumin seeds- 1 tbsp

Cloves- 4

Coriander seeds- 1/2 tbsp

Chilli powder- 1 tsp

Garlic cloves- 4

Salt

Dried mint- 1 tsp

Method

In a small grinder, make a paste of all the items for the spice mix, except dried mint and salt.

Grind to a thick paste and then add the mint and salt.

Apply to the tuna steaks and let marinate for at least 20 minutes.

Heat oil in a flat pan . When really hot, add the tuna steaks and fry on both sides.

Although Tuna is amazingly meat like in texture, but needs to be cooked with great care as it tends to get really chewy and leathery if overcooked.

I served it with some salad and bread. Simple.
