There is no need to eat the cholesterol rich lamb burgers all the time. Turkey mince provides a delicious, low fat option. Those who want it even more healthy, can bake this burger in the oven and avoid the oil needed for frying and gluten intolerant could avoid the bread altogether!
Ingredients
- Turkey Mince- 400g
- Spring Onions- 4
- Coriander- 1/2 cup chopped
- Egg Yolk- 1
- Chilli- 1 finely chopped
- Garlic- 1 clove, grated
- Garam Masala- 1tsp
- Oil- 2-3 tbsp for frying
- Salt- to taste
- Pepper- 1/2 tsp
Method
In a large bowl, mix together the turkey mince with the rest of the ingredients.
Combine well, then wet your hands and shape into 4 flat burger patties.
Heat the oil on a flat bottomed pan and fry the burgers for about 5 minutes on each side, until well cooked.
Toast the burger buns and then its ‘Make Your Own Burger’ time!
Load up all the veggies ans salads that you like. Add a dollop of mayo or mustard sauce and you are good to go!
