I love Mexican food. I love cheese. I love chicken. I love hot and yum food.
But most of all, I love food that easy to put together- shortcut.
So when I was sent these new baked beans from Heinz to review, I thought I must make something both quick and delicious.
So a Quesadilla came to my mind.
The advantage of using flavoured beans such as these, rather than the normal baked beans, is that they taste different. A more grownup, adult taste that’s not ketchupy.
Also you don’t have to faff around with too many ingredients.
So if you want a nice, cheese loaded, delicious meal, that everyone loves, try this!
Ingredients
- Heinz Fajita beans- 1 tin
- Cooked chicken - 1 cup
- Sliced onion- 1/4 cup
- Coloured peppers, sliced (optional)- 1/4 cup
- Tomato paste- 1 tbsp
- Cheese, grated- 1 cup
- Corn/ Wheat tortilla- 4
- Salt to taste
Method
I had tortillas with me- either corn or wheat flour anything will do.
1. And for the filling, just use what’s in your fridge.
If you have leftover meat, & peppers use that- else peppers and sweet corn make for a fabulous filling.
Of course, grab those beans. You might want to add a big spoonful of salt- the beans don’t have much really.
Now its basically just 3 steps-
1. Fill it!
Shut it!
Brush some oil on top and..
Toast it!
Cut..
Plate up and serve with sour cream!
Delicious!
