Yutaka Japanese Curry kit – a review
Katsu Curry is one dish my son could eat 365 days. He just loves it. So when I was asked to review a Japanese Curry kit by Yutaka, I couldn’t have been happier.
The kit has everything you need- Sushi Rice, Gravy pot and Panko breadcrumbs.
Just get the fresh ingredients- chicken, prawn, or if you’re vegetarian, then Tofu.
It is pretty straight forward-
- Cook the rice as per the instructions.
- Meanwhile, prepare the fresh food. Use whatever you have bought. I decided to make Chicken Katsu curry, so I will explain that. Dice and marinate the chicken in salt and pepper. Keep aside for 10 minutes.
- To get the Katsu curry ready, you need to boil the solidified mixture from the pot into 800 ml of boiling water and keep stirring. Make sure there are no lumps.
- While that is happening on one side and the rice is cooking away, get on with the rest of the chicken.
Set the fried chicken aside on kitchen towels to drain the excess oil.
Serve hot with steaming hot rice, chicken and curry on top.
Looks quite authentic, doesn’t it? Tastes delicious too. Best part? It is so easy to make!
So the next time you crave Japanese Katsu curry, do head over to the Yutaka Website and check out their products and recipes and get cooking!
