Pure Komachi 2 Knives
A set of knives that won’t break the bank – Pure Komachi 2 knives – a set I use everyday in my kitchen.
So the other day, I walked into Costco with hubby dear. One of my hobbies is buying new things:), unfortunately I can’t buy as much and as often as I want. 🙂
It is amusing to see how we step into Costco.. I walk in very happy, eager to buy.
Hubby walks in apprehensively, with a frown wondering how much more is going to be spent.. we usually settle somewhere in the middle.
Now I had my eye on these beautiful set of knives displayed right at the entrance-because they were all so brightly coloured, a lovely addition to dull London weather.
But I had somehow, managed to restrain.
That day, I was with hubby dear, who picked them up himself. I tell you the knives are so attractive, it takes a braveheart to walk past them.
Have I mentioned I have a fetish for knives? Always have. I’m forever looking for newer and better knives. And this beautiful set came at a very attractive price too.
So what happens? The decision is made.. of course all in the head!
Product beautiful, wife loves it, price won’t break the bank either.. matter closed..
So the knives came home and were put to the test.
Oh what can I say about them?
They are beautiful. Â Apart from the obvious, I think these are a pretty decent set of knives.
I know that these are not the most snooty pair of knives around, but hey, they serve my purpose.
They are not heavy but not light either. They are perfect in weight, do not put pressure on the wrist like some cheap light knives and they deliver every time.
Chopping onions and potatoes is a breeze, but the real test is when you try to cut bread or butternut squash. Both being at the opposite ends of the spectrum, need knives that really do the job.
The bread needs a very sharp but properly designed knife, whereas the tough thick butternut squash needs something heavy.
So they were tested on every possible thing. The knives just glide through effortlessly and me- I’m so happy.
There is nothing more gratifying than when the knives you buy do as they are expected.
I’m seriously impressed by the quality. What also helps is that the knives come with their own sheath. So no accidental cuts either.
What more could you possibly want in knives?
– They are really light and very sharp. I love the light weight because it doesnt hurt my wrist.. but they are made so well that I don’t have to exert extra pressure either. They stay sharp and are as good as new since the last 6 months. And I use them a lot, every single day.
– They are colourful and that livens up many a dull London day. But also the colour identifies them for use- bread, meat, onions, fruit.. and so on.
– And of course, they don’t cost the earth.
So if you don’t want to break the bank, but want to treat yourself with a good pair of knives, here your chance. I am certainly very happy with my purchase; it was money well spent.
