Complete Grate and Slice set from OXO

Chopping and grating are back-breaking jobs, but not if you have the right implements for it.

I was recently sent this fabulous Grate and Slice Set from OXO to review, and man do I love it!

The set consists of 4 blades and a safety holder all of which are safely housed inside the cool sleek plastic container with the see through lid.

The colour coded blades have coarse and medium grating blades & straight and julienne slicing surfaces.

The blades can be used directly over bowls or plates or placed on top of the see-through lid, which doubles as a container for collecting and measuring food. The lid has very smart markings on it on both sides- 1 side measures in cups while the other measures in ml.

The handle on the container provides a secure, comfortable grip and non-slip feet keep the container steady while grating or slicing. A special feature with OXO products is their ease of usage- here too, when you’re finished slicing or grating, the blade surfaces and food holder fit neatly into slots inside the compact, easy-to-store container.

I had fun experimenting with the sharp blades. See what this slicer can achieve.. Everything from coarse grate to fine Juliennes.

The coarse grater is great for semi soft cheeses, apples, potatoes and onions while the medium grater is perfect for hard cheeses, chocolate and harder vegetables like carrots. The straight slicer creates uniform slices of vegetables and fruits, while the julienne slicers yields julienne strips for salads, garnishes and more!

The entire set is dishwasher safe, but can be washed in seconds under the running water.

Now you don’t need to spend hours on prepping vegetables.
