My Kitchen is the heart of my home
If I were to ask which is the favourite part of your home, I bet you would be tempted to say, ‘the living room’, where you lounge in front of the TV.
In my home, though, the kitchen has always been the heart of the home. When I was younger, I followed my Mum everywhere and loved to sit across her at the table while she worked.
Today, the tradition continues. My son studies in the kitchen and I get to cook whilst I watch him work and ensure that he finishes on time.
So how does one plan the perfect kitchen?
It needs enough space for me to cook, bake and house my endless number of gadgets. The list of my spices and sauces is never ending.
Plus it needs to have room for my family and friends to be around, whether for a quick breakfast, a cup of tea or then finishing off the homework. Also, as a family we enjoy cooking together , especially on the weekends.
So a great cooker, space for a decent sized fridge freezer, enough work space and counter space for my gadgets, a great dining table / breakfast counter and some space to lounge would define my ideal kitchen space.
I looked at Homify , an online platform for home and living, to get inspiration for ideas to make the best kitchen design possible. Homify has many interesting ideas for redecorating and doing up your home and kitchen.

kitchen and dining room by INpuls
I really like this kitchen design which takes care of the entire family. A modern and contemporary kitchen, it is light and bright, has tons of storage, and sets a relaxed mood , with the book shelf in the corner and non-fussy dining table. So while it serves the main purpose of a kitchen that is cooking food, it also provides enough room for the family and is perfect for day to day living as well as entertaining. I think that having the option of eating in the kitchen is great, because then the formal areas are always mess and food free. And then with a lovely table and space like that, and a laptop, the kitchen would also double up as an office space. What joy! Clacking away at the kepboard to the smell of coffee brewing away in the corner! That is my idea of a kitchen, my little bit of heaven. So what kind of kitchen do you like?
A modern kitchen, with sleek, straight Scandinavian designs,

or then, a comforting retro kitchen like this one?
Whichever kind of kitchen you choose, this is one room that will remain the heart of your home!
