Olpro Rice Husk Bowl Review – an interesting concept

Are you fond of Biodegradable stuff?

I am.

I sincerely applaud the efforts of all the clever people who try to do their bit for the planet.

Our friends at OLPRO too have some interesting products made from rice husk. I mean can you imagine reusing rice husk? That pesky little, hard as nails  brown cover that a grain of rice is covered in?

Had you ever realised that of the 500 million tonnes of rice that is produced annually, a fourth of it- 125 million is just husk? That is a huge amount of waste.

Did you know that rice husk turns into compost in 90 days while plastic takes 20-500 years? I get disturbed just thinking of it.

OLPRO have made some fabulous tableware products – plates, mugs, cutlery and storage boxes-   all from that tiny husk of rice. After rice is harvested, they check the husk for chemicals. All the good husk is then converted into a raw material which is then moulded into OLPRO  Husk Tableware.

How clever is that.

What’s even better is that they’re  eco-friendly, biodegradable and do not contain any harmful substances at all. They can also be microwaved for upto 3 minutes. The tableware has been tested in Germany to show that it does not contain BPA.

So please visit OLPRO’s page and get some for your friends and family. All the products are very competitively priced, stylish and contemporary.
