The other day, I received these fabulous desserts from Erlenbacher<\/a>, the Fruits of the Forest Tart and the Strawberry Vanilla Cake to sample.<\/p>\n

Having already sampled their fabulous Premium Apple Pie,<\/a>\u00a0we were rather curious about these new delicacies.<\/p>\n

The strawberry cake was promptly attacked and devoured. Made of strawberries and vanilla cream, the Strawberry Vanilla Cake has\u00a0bourbon vanilla and strawberry & yogurt cream, sandwiched between two layers of really light sponge\u00a0and a rather\u00a0generous\u00a0topping of\u00a0bourbon vanilla cream, fluffy sponge glazed strawberries with white\u00a0chocolate strips on the borders. \u00a0A stunning and delicious cake, I thought.<\/p>\n

The Fruits of Forest Tart seemed to be frozen for a long time, and only when my son lost his patience and touched it did we realise that it was the sprinkling of\u00a0icing sugar that made it look so.<\/p>\n

The absolutely decadent tart is covered with many mouthwatering berries – strawberries, blackberries, blueberries and redcurrants. They summery berries\u00a0surprise you with their sweet and tart taste that blend beautifully with the cream and the shortcrust pastry base.<\/p>\n

So if you’re looking to have a stunning\u00a0dessert that’s easy to serve and whisks you away from the cold dreary weather, Erlenbacher<\/a>\u2019s Fruits of the Forest Tart and award-winning Strawberry Vanilla Cake offer a light fruity alternative and will\u00a0be a fitting end to the Christmas feast.<\/p>\n
