The most important thing in a kitchen is a set of good pans. Over the years, I’ve tried them all. The aluminium, anodised, cast iron, non-stick- cheap version, non-stick- ultra expensive version- tried them all.<\/p>\n

And I go through a lot of pans- I cook so much.<\/p>\n

Recently I got a set of\u00a0\u00a0of these Green Earth Pans made by Ozeri<\/a>. A beautiful, strong set with a really good weight to it. A pan with a decent weight spells a pan that has been made with care- a pan that will last for some time.<\/p>\n

Along with these pans, I also got a lid,\u00a010″ Green Earth Frying Pan Lid, by Ozeri<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I cannot harp enough on the need for a lid while cooking, even for boiling water. Not only does it hasten the cooking process, but it also prevents loss of nutrients. The lid also has a little vent, that lets steam escape and prevents too much build up of steam.<\/p>\n

The pans themselves are quite exciting. Ozeri\u00a0use the \u00a0cutting edge Greblon technology to make their non-stick pans that\u00a0is extremely safe for the environment and the pans are free of PTFE, PFOA and other chemicals that are really\u00a0toxic.<\/p>\n

Since the pans are made out of high quality anodised aluminium and its magnetised bottom, they heat quickly and evenly. \u00a0Also because of the high quality non-stick, very little oil\/ butter is required to cook.<\/p>\n

A win-win all the way.<\/p>\n

To put the pans to test, I\u00a0tried out a few things.\u00a0Frying eggs, toasting bread!<\/p>\n

The egg needed very little oil, cooked quickly and slid off perfectly.<\/p>\n

That’s the pan after toasting a couple of bread slices. Absolutely perfect.<\/p>\n

Then I decided to make some more yum food in it.<\/p>\n

I was sent these pans to\u00a0review, the views are entirely my own.<\/span><\/p>\n

My feelings about the pan..<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Robust, excellent non-stick coating. Eggs, cheese, potatoes- the stuff just slides off.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Minimises the use of oil\/ grease- so a big tick on the health column.<\/span><\/p>\n

Light on the waist and wallet.<\/span><\/p>\n

I would certainly recommend that you get yourself a set of these and I bet you will thank me for years to come.<\/span><\/p>\n

And don’t forget to get the lid either. It sits perfectly on the 10′ pan. Lids are so very important when you cook. Not only does it reduce cooking time, but it also prevents loss of nutrients.So whether you are looking to cook a curry in a hurry or just frying potatoes- get that lid.<\/span><\/p>\n
