I was pleasantly surprised to see someone holding up a beautiful bag in his hand and asking for me. Here&#8217;s something for you from Castello Cheese, he said.<\/p>\n<p>I love love love cheese and am always cooking or experimenting with it. I was really curious to see what they had sent me.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/vaish.sengupta.net\/of-cloves-and-capers\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/20140212-P1080052-575x431.jpg\" alt=\"20140212-P1080052\" width=\"575\" height=\"431\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The bag revealed these 4 beautiful cheeses and a heart shaped slate cheeseboard.<\/p>\n<p>Well, I simply had to make something special, warming and cheesy with these.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/vaish.sengupta.net\/of-cloves-and-capers\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/20140211-P1080031.jpg\" alt=\"20140211-P1080031\" width=\"287\" height=\"250\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-4000\" src=\"http:\/\/vaish.sengupta.net\/of-cloves-and-capers\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/Cheese-and-Corn-balls-575x431.jpg\" alt=\"Cheese and Corn balls\" width=\"575\" height=\"431\" srcset=\"https:\/\/vaish.sengupta.net\/of-cloves-and-capers\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/Cheese-and-Corn-balls-575x431.jpg 575w, https:\/\/vaish.sengupta.net\/of-cloves-and-capers\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/Cheese-and-Corn-balls.jpg 900w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 575px) 100vw, 575px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>So for Valentine&#8217;s Day, I used the lovely strong Cheddar Cheese to make\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/vaish.sengupta.net\/of-cloves-and-capers\/recipe\/spicy-corn-and-cheese-balls-a-scrumptious-appetiser\/\">Spicy Corn and Cheese Balls with Jalapeno<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>On the weekend, the weather was stormy and terribly wet. It was extremely delicious. We licked every last bit.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-3941\" src=\"http:\/\/vaish.sengupta.net\/of-cloves-and-capers\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/20140212-P1080059-575x431.jpg\" alt=\"20140212-P1080059\" width=\"575\" height=\"431\" srcset=\"https:\/\/vaish.sengupta.net\/of-cloves-and-capers\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/20140212-P1080059-575x431.jpg 575w, https:\/\/vaish.sengupta.net\/of-cloves-and-capers\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/20140212-P1080059.jpg 900w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 575px) 100vw, 575px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The last of the cheeses was the intriguing Pineapple Cheese- Ananas Cheese. I have a special soft corner for cheese with sweet things in them.\u00a0So this particular cheese really caught my eye.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/vaish.sengupta.net\/of-cloves-and-capers\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/20140223-P1080230-575x431.jpg\" alt=\"20140223-P1080230\" width=\"575\" height=\"431\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And it was really really good.<\/p>\n<p>It was fabulous, soft and creamy with hints of pineapple, it did not get overly sweet but was well rounded by the crunchy almond crust.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/vaish.sengupta.net\/of-cloves-and-capers\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/20140223-P1080229-575x431.jpg\" alt=\"20140223-P1080229\" width=\"575\" height=\"431\" \/><\/p>\n<p>So if you want to drink something with that cinnamon spiced Ice tea, this would be perfect.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/vaish.sengupta.net\/of-cloves-and-capers\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/20140223-P1080234-575x431.jpg\" alt=\"20140223-P1080234\" width=\"575\" height=\"431\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Having said that, I think it would be excellent paired with mulled wine as well.
