Batata Bharit recipe | How to make Alu bharta – an Indian potato salad with yoghurt

A delightful addition to any meal and extremely quick to make, this delicious salad can be thrown together in just 10 minutes.

This is another of my Mum’s delicious recipes- food that I crave.

Ingredients

  • Potato, boiled- 1
  • Onion, slice- 2 tbsp
  • Coriander, finely chopped- 2 tbsp
  • Green chilli- sliced- 1
  • Yoghurt, whisked- 1/3 cup
  • Salt- to taste

Method

Step 1

Boil and mash the potato coarsely.

Step 2

Finely chop the onion and coriander. Slice the green chilli. Whisk the yoghurt to remove any lumps.

Step 3

Mix everything together. Serve with parathas, spicy food, or just to pep up any meal.
