Oxo’s 3 in 1 Ricer
The newest addition to my kitchen is this fabulous OXO Good Grips Adjustable Potato Ricer.
Mashing stuff is always a chore. So whenever help is at hand in the form of some cool gadget, I am super happy.
The unique thing about this Potato Ricer is its adjustable dial that lets you mash according to your requirement- be it chunky, mushy or fluffy.
The fine setting is perfect for fluffy mashed potatoes, parsnips, carrots, turnips, gnocchi etc: The medium setting is good for pressing water out of cooked greens and the coarse setting is perfect for chunky apple sauce, egg salad and pressing tomatoes for sauce. The nicest part is that there are no fiddly discs attached for separate storage. Just turn the dial and you’re good to go.
As always with OXO gadgets, the handles have soft, comfortable non-slip grips.
The groove in the handle helps it rest on the edge of the pan while you effortlessly mash vegetables into the pan.
I decided to put it to the test and made chunky Apple Sauce.
