My Waste-Less Food Journey
I hate waste of any kind, especially food. It is really sad to waste perfectly good food just because we cooked a tad extra or bought a bit more.
Many times, despite one’s best efforts, food does go waste, especially cooked food, simply because no one likes eating what is very obviously ‘ Yesterday’s food.
But if we take a tiny bit of effort and use our creativity, we can rehash and re-create an entirely new dish out of leftovers, something that everyone will chomp down without blinking an eye or uttering the L (Leftover) word.
That is the best way to avoid waste.
Be creative. Save food.
Here are a few recipes that I use in my kitchen to serve up food in a new avatar.
Chicken Laksa Curry– convert into a delicious One Pot meal by serving up any leftover meat with Noodles & vegetables.
Roast Chicken & Cheese Sandwich
Leftover Boiled Egg & Cheese Sandwich
Leftover Dal- Dal Paratha
These are my favourite recipes for leftovers.
What do you do?
Do you just heat them up and eat as is?
Do tell. I’d love to know.
